Wanjina Wunggurr Prescribed Body Corporate represents and protects the native title rights and interests of the Wanjina Wunggurr Traditional Owners in the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
About Us
Holding Native Title with Cultural Authority
Wanjina Wunggurr PBC was established to manage and protect the native title rights and interests of our people. We act on behalf of Traditional Owners in matters relating to land, waters, heritage, and future development.
Our role is grounded in cultural governance. Decisions are guided by elders, knowledge holders and community representatives to ensure that Country is respected and future generations remain connected to culture.

Wanjina Wunggurr Country is located in the north-west Kimberley region of Wester Australia. This region is known for its dramatic coastlines, ancient sandstone ranges, river systems, and significant cultural landscapes.
Our Country forms part of one of the most culturally and environmentally significant regions in Australia. It holds thousands of years of continuous connection, living law, and story.
Operating within Western Australia requires balancing state legislation, environmental regulation, and native title rights. Wanjina Wunngurr PBC ensures that all activities on Country respect both cultural authority and statutory frameworks.
